Action Plan

Why to define it?

Because the exercise with the Actionplan brings us closer to deciding in what way and at what pace we want to interact with others.

Action Plan

The fourth step ‘Actionplan’ is about being selective about ‘how’ we interact with others. It is about making a plan of actions that honors our values. A plan that works as a guideline to protect us from falling back into old behavior.

Nail it! Keep it! Own it!

When to use it?

Continuously. We use our Action board as a GPS until we have deciphered our old behaviors that no longer serve our well-being.

Why to define it?

The process of defining tasks brings you closer to deciding in what way and at what pace you want to get to know another person.
It enables you to prioritize what is important to you and gives you a sense of intention and value. You do it to 1) discover yourself, 2) protect yourself, and 3) shift to a value-based life.

When a list of actions is completed, My Core Journey compiles your input and generates a dashboard (your own workspace), enabling you, among other features, to track your progress, journal on task level, and create lessons learned.

‘Tracking’ is a way to practice paying attention to situations that no longer honor your values.

The Actionplan (Actionboard) is about several things. One part involves creating a plan with actions that honor our values by defining milestones, pivotal events, or experiences that we want to include in a given relationship. This allows us to be selective about ‘how’ we interact with others and, therefore, relate (or date) on a more ‘conscious’ level. After you have created a plan, MyCoreJourney collects your input and generates an Actionboard (dashboard), which is your very own self-development tool.

In the Actionboard, it’s about transforming our old behavior, our unconscious patterns where we lose ourselves, and transforming them into mindful, awake, and healthy patterns, where we live in harmony with our core. We achieve this by regularly working on ourselves in the Actionboard. Here, we can not only fine-tune the plan but also track our progress, journal on multiple levels, create Lessons Learned, archive old plans, and develop new Actionplans.

When to use it?

In the Actionboard, you regularly evaluate your status and actions to see how much you have adhered to your values. Here, thoughts, learning, and insights are journaled with the purpose of increasing your awareness of how consciously you interact with others.

It will also be easier to notice the people who share your values (shared values make a relationship more meaningful) and those who do NOT share your values.

At some point, you no longer need to use your dashboard as a frequent checklist, as you have broken with the old unhealthy patterns and replaced them with patterns based on your core values.
